PRV Audio’s 8MR600X is all about X-treme midrange performance. Designed to be a class-leading midrange in the pro audio realm, this driver boasts a sensitivity of 98 dB and weighs only 7 pounds. Optimized for professional audio or MI (musical instrument) speaker system applications, a 4-ohm car audio version is also available: 8MR600X-4.
The powerful magnet assembly ensures high flux concentration. The ventilated basket design between the basket and the magnetic structure significantly improves thermal connection and heat dissipation, enhancing power handling and reducing power compression.
Capable of high output and low distortion, this midrange is perfect for delivering crucial midrange response in any high-output sound system.

The 51 mm (2 in) copper-clad aluminum wire is wound in a double layer using high-temperature resin adhesive on a durable polyimide former. It features a generous 14.5 mm winding length for extended Xmax and reduced distortion.
The 2″ voice coil also ensures excellent heat dissipation and provides the necessary motor strength to maintain high sensitivity even at high power with minimal distortion.
With a Qts of 0.37 and a unique double roll dimple suspension design, this speaker offers a flat response from 200Hz to 2500Hz, even at high excursions, effectively controlling its natural paper cone at its 5.25 mm Xmax. The composite cone is constructed from non-pressed paper (visible on the backside) to minimize break-up and ensure smooth sound.
